Letter from the Editor
Good day; My name is Michael Doucette, I am a martial artist and a law enforcement officer/first responder. I have been so for over eighteen years and because of my service I have suffered from mental health issues. Over twenty-five years ago I began my martial arts journey, I started learning Goju-Ryu karate at a local dojo. Since then I have earned two black belts, have received certification, instruction and experience in many forms of martial arts. Last but not least, I have been honored with the title of Sensei. Approximately two years ago I was forced to look at myself and how I was coping with stress. Since then I have been on a road to recovery. On this road I researched a lot and came to find that the martial arts/exercise, meditation, study and writing have helped.
